The entire team of both swimmers and divers continue to impress. Many had season-best and personal best times. The meet was capped off by the first place finish of the 200 Medley Relay team of Negri, Lednev, Flynn and Zemering, who swam a 1:39.93 to qualify for States (and just a fraction of a second off the 1:39.23 school record pace). Alex Lednev also beat his school record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:53.60 and won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 59.40. Gunnar Zemering also took 2nd in the 100 Free with a time of 48.93 to qualify individually for State as well.
Congrats to the entire team for a fantastic season!

The Modified team continued its strong, undefeated season with a win over Amsterdam, making it six in a row.

The Boys show extremely well against the league-leading Shen HS team. Highlights include a win in the opening 200 Free Relay (Negri, Lednev, Ginsburg, Zemering), Alex & Gunnar took 1 & 2 in the 50 Free, Flynn won the Fly, Alex had an impressive 4:45 for the 500 Free and the team took second in the other two relays.

The Modified team swam strong with a win over Ballston Spa, 80 - 62 this past Friday. Except for Diving (BC has no divers) and two exhibition events (Breaststroke & 200 Free Relay), Bethlehem won every single event. See attached files for final scores & splits. Go Eagles! |

Congrats on the win vs. Ballston Spa. The Boys had a close one and managed to capture a victory in the last few events.

The Boys team got off to a fast start with a win over Burnt Hills / Ballston Spa, 105 to 76, under the tutelage of their new coach Bill Dergosits. There were strong swims from the entire team including the divers (including scores from new divers Strutsrim and Cole). The meet was punctuated by States qualifying times from Alex Lednev in the 200 IM, 1:56.14 (a pool and school record) and in the 100 Back, 53:00 (a pool record). Congrats to Alex and the entire team for a great first meet of the season.

A big thanks goes out to Coach Allison Ayers for a very successful Girls season and for taking on the role of interim coach for the Boys. We are grateful for her willingness to coach the Boys at the end of last season and the beginning of this season until a permanent coach could be found. It's made a huge difference in starting the Boys well for this new swimming season. |
